Since its launch in 2017 by the Portuguese Society of Microbiology, and its transition to the leadership of the Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS) in 2020, IMD has continued to grow into a vibrant, international movement dedicated to showcasing the extraordinary impact of microbes on our everyday lives.
