KNVM Microorganism Day for ECRs

KNVM Microorganism Day celebrates modern microbiology by connecting Early Career Researchers. The event includes scientific talks on diverse current microbial research, a pitching workshop, and a troubleshooting discussion to foster communication and collaboration.

To continue raising awareness and promote the importance of microorganisms in health and society, we are pleased to invite you to the first KNVM Microorganism Day on Friday, 18 September, in Wageningen.

This event aims to connect Early Career Researchers (ECRs) across diverse research areas and strengthen their ability to communicate their work to both peers and a broader audience. The program includes scientific talks by representatives of Holomicrobiome and Unlock, as well as an interactive pitching workshop by Frank Smallegange, offering practical tips on capturing and maintaining your audience’s attention. It also features a discussion session focused on troubleshooting day-to-day challenges.

This event is open only to PhD candidates and postdocs who are KNVM members, however interested non-KNVM members are encouraged to join KNVM and participate!
