Spotlighting Microorganisms through a One Health lens, Synergy upheld for growth and sustainability

When? 18 September, 9am - 4pm 

Where? Kogi State University, Anyigba

The impact of microorganisms in the ecosystem and the world is and would always be intriguing, ranging from it's usefulness in the petroleum sector, to it's detrimental factor in environmental health. In a world where Microorganisms are described as "Ubiquitous" explains how much of importance they are in our lives, or on the earth. Celebrating International Microorganisms day creates more opportunities for Scientist and Microbiologist to expound on the relevance of these animalcules as it was first described by Anton Van Leeuwenhoek, stating how they play a huge role in our society and causes harm as well. The Dynamism of Microbiology is Superfluous to the common Man and thus Scientist seek for better ways to discuss these tiny and minute organisms that cannot be seen with the ordinary human eye. Therefore, the need to discuss further about Microorganisms through a one health lens as it affects all fields of biosciences.

Where? Department of Microbiology Faculty of science university of Ibadan  

This event will be held to showcase and promote the relevance of microbes by featuring different lectures, documentary and quizzes.

17 September 2023, 2-5pm at Royal Palace, Ijebu Ode

18 September 2023, 4-6pm at Army Barracks, Ibadan

This event will span 3 days, and feature different activities for young and old. Join our lectures, workshops, exhibitions and art!
