IMD in Tennesee

When? 21 September 2023, 5:30pm

Where? University of Tennesse Southern campus in Pulaski and Online

We will be screening the French documentary, Microbiota: The Amazing Powers of the Gut! You can either join us on campus or online. Following the screening there will be a panel discussion with three speakers.

IMD in Iowa

When? 17 Septmeber 2023, 1-3pm

Where? Iowa City Public Library

Join our IMD celebrations in Iowa! We will be hosting Agar art (drawing with microbes on an agar plate), Microbe crafts (Build your own virus), a microbe fair (posters/stations highlighting different microbes), Microbe crocheting, and a Microbe Madness tournament. The event will be held at the Iowa City Public Library. The agar art and crafts will be exhibited in locked glass display cases for public view. There will be also a display of microbe books and media.

IMD in Louisiana

When? 11 and 18 September 2023

We will celebrate IMD by visiting two local elementary schools, Southfield School and Loyola School in Shreveport. There we will get creative and make agar plates and talk to the children about microbes and the importance of handwashing.
