In celebration of IMD 2026, our one-day event will explore the fascinating relationships between microorganisms, animals, and plants. The event will feature expert lectures on animal and plant microbiomes, a student poster competition, and opportunities for scientific discussion, promoting awareness of the vital roles microbes play in life and ecosystems.
Disinfection Processes for Public and Environmental Health : Role of Microorganisms

This event aims to raise awareness about the critical role of disinfection in controlling harmful microorganisms and reducing the risk of infectious diseases. The session will educate participants on microbial contamination, routes of disease transmission, and the importance of effective disinfection practices in maintaining public and environmental health.
Interactive activities, awareness sessions and a poster-making competition, the event will encourage participants to explore innovative approaches for microbial control and disease prevention. In addition, lectures delivered by researchers and faculty members will provide a deeper understanding of emerging microbial challenges, antimicrobial resistance and evidence-based disinfection strategies for creating safer and healthier communities.
